Since 1992, Joseph Montinaro, owner and head chef of Dolcini by Joseph has been creating decadent artisan desserts with a vision that is uniquely different. Joseph and his dedicated team place an emphasis on using quality ingredients within the one-hundred kilometre radius to obtain the finest products possible. Combining his passion and thirst for knowledge, Joseph is constantly looking for ways to improve his products. Growing up with pastries, with his father, Brizio owning West Finch before him, his experiences began in traditional Italian roots. Inspired by a trip to Italy, Joseph’s philosophy of pastry transcended to using dessert as a canvas for creative expression. He has made a name for himself as a distinguished pastry chef, instructor for Pregel Canada, spokesperson for various corporations and has made several appearances on multiple TV stations. His desserts range from traditional Italian to modern European stylings and either way they are exquisite.
